Internship Opportunity: Spring Outdoor Days
The Environmental Center is looking for a high school or college student to help deliver outdoor programming in May and June! If you’re a student with any teaching experience, enthusiasm for outdoor education, and a willingness to lead students… we want to hear from you.
The Spring Outdoor School Days Intern will support our staff in delivering outdoor school programs to elementary and middle school students this spring. Program delivery includes: presenting lessons, managing students, and educating students about natural resources and environmental stewardship.
The internship will be from May 4th through June 4th, 2020. A required planning and training meeting will be held the week of April 27th (exact date TBD). Intern must work all 10 outdoor school days: May 5, 7, 12, 14, 19, 21, 26, 28, June 2, 4
The intern will spend approximately 90% of their time as an instructor and another 10% of time assisting with outdoor day coordination and general program support, such as maintaining supplies and helping with curriculum.
