1. Read a book. A full guide to the A-Z of building an ADU. Backdoor Revolution: The Definitive Guide to ADU Development by Kol Peterson. Kol is an ADU expert who has helped catalyze the exponential growth of ADUs over the last decade through advocacy, education, consulting, and policy work. Purchase your copy, digitally or in print, here. 
2. Take a class. You’re in luck because there is a full-day workshop coming your way on Saturday, May 19th. You can register now for Building an ADU: A Class for Homeowners to take the deep-dive into what it will take develop an ADU on your property. Kol Peterson will guide you in taking your project from design to permitting to building. He has taught these classes to thousands of homeowners and real estate agents.
