Why pull invasive weeds:
- Noxious weeds invade a variety of habitats, including wildlands such as the National Forest and Deschutes River corridor.
- They displace and compete with native vegetation, thus reducing wildlife forage, erosion control, and overall watershed health.
- The Bend/Ft. Rock District of the Deschutes National Forest has documented approximately 2,300 acres of infestations. Some of these infestations are in our favorite places to recreate.
- We need your help with controlling noxious weeds so we can continue to enjoy these special places!
