White Fragility

September 3, 2019

$65 – $75

This program is presented by Nancy R. Chandler Visiting Scholar Program at COCC Foundation and COCC’s Office of Diversity and Inclusion as part of the 2019 Season of Nonviolence.

Join us for a workshop with Dr. DiAngelo about what she has termed “White Fragility.” White Fragility is a state in which even a minimal challenge to the white position becomes intolerable, triggering a range of defensive responses. This workshop will provide an overview of the socialization that instills white fragility and give the perspectives and skills needed to build racial stamina and develop more equitable racial practices.

FREE and OPEN to the public but we ask that you RSVP here to reserve your seat. Location is Wille Hall, Coats Campus Center at COCC.
