His show was the first multicultural outdoors TV show in the country – it’s been on air weekly since 2003, and has been nominated for 4 Emmy Awards.He’ll also be joined by Oregon’s very own Sharon Gary Smith, a nationally-renowned community organizer and social justice advocate with over 4 decades of experience. Sharon also directed the McKenzie River Gathering Foundation, a philanthropic organization that mobilizes resources for Oregon communities.Together they will discuss race & public lands through a historical lens, weaving in examples from Oregon and elsewhere.
