Webcast: Snowshoeing Central Oregon

Join Oregon Wild for a presentation on how and where to snowshoe in Central Oregon. We’ll have tips and suggestions regarding everything from safety to gear to picking the most scenic trails. We’ll include some “Snowshoeing 101” for those new to the activity as well as some tips on locations that would be applicable to all ability levels. The presentation will include:

• Photography of recommended scenic snowshoeing destinations in Central Oregon
• The basics of learning to snowshoe
• Reference map
• What to bring
• How to be safe when snowshoeing
• Gear (snowshoes and clothing)

We will be raffling off a copy of Oregon’s Ancient Forests: A Hiking Guide, a solar USB charger, and a “Wild: The Oregon Way” t-shirt! Tickets are $5 and are an optional purchase below. Raffle tickets not only help us continue these Wednesday presentations but also support our work safeguarding Oregon’s wildlands, wildlife, and waters.
