Soil: Nature’s Solution to the Climate Crisis?

September 3, 2019

$65 – $75

The way we grow and raise our food has a profound impact on soil health, as well as on our own well-being. The chemical intensive form of agriculture that became common after WWII has become a major contributor to Climate Change, and is causing massive damage in the environment. But there is hope in soil.

We’ll take a closer look, and discuss how we can shift this complex system back to health. Soil is the second largest carbon sink after the oceans, and restoring carbon back into the soil via photosynthesis has the capacity to sequester billions of tons of carbon out of the atmosphere, buying us time to reinvent the economy. It will require an informed and engaged public to achieve that.
