Sly as a Fox: Montane Red Foxes in Central Oregon

The Sierra Nevada Red Fox is one of our most imperiled mammals, and recent field studies reveal Central Oregon’s wild places are habitat for these highly intelligent critters, often, quite surprisingly, at lower elevations than expected. Learn about the fox’s denning and foraging habits gathered from fresh GPS collaring data, remote motion-triggered cameras, and thousands of hours of observation efforts, including by our speaker, ODFW Wildlife Technician and Bend resident Jamie Bowles.
