Optimizing Crisis to Address Climate Change

September 3, 2019

$65 – $75

Crisis management became front and center for Arlene Burns when an oil train derailed in Mosier, Oregon. Arlene will discuss how she transformed a major incident into a positive future for her tiny town of Mosier, caught in the cross hairs of fossil fuel infrastructure development. These same lessons of creative problem solving apply to the climate crisis, where action is long overdue. Arlene discusses her philosophy of bringing people together to collaborate on solutions to rural issues through a lens of resilience and regeneration, an essential link to solving our climate crisis.
