Central Oregon’s high desert country has diverse habitats from wet meadows to sage-steppe, ponderosa pine forests, and high elevation meadows and peaks. As a result, the area is home to a great number of species of native wildflowers, trees, and shrubs. Some are big, showy, and widespread. Others are tiny and easily overlooked.
