The events of 2020 and early 2021 have magnified many longstanding issues and concerns related to systemic racism, inequitable development, and many other social injustices in our communities. A more equitable approach to planning and designing our cities will require a more inclusive process and a rethinking of how communities track past trends, understand existing conditions, and define the highest priority problems.
