A film chronicling the history of the Environmental Movement’s evolution from the 1960s to present, grassroots and global activism, with narration by Robert Redford, Meryl Streep, Van Jones, Isabel Allende, Ashley Judd.  David Brower’s Sierra Club of the ‘60s and early battles to save the Grand Canyon from dams, and rising environmental consciousness.  Love Canal catching fire sparking protest and pollution regulation, but President Reagan counterattacks.  Greenpeace’s fight to protect whales, the deforestation of the Amazon and impacts of climate change.  People fighting to save their homes, their lives, the future—this film will inspire action needed more than ever today, because the next five years of major environmental policy are at risk from the current administration’s contempt for the environment, fossil fuel lobbyists, and those who put profit above planet.
