InFARMation: Equitable Food Access – Hear from Farmers in the Field

September 3, 2019

$65 – $75

A common frustration for every small, sustainable farmer in or entering food production is the reckoning between low wages and long hours and the high cost of food that is unobtainable by those most in need in our community or even themselves. Hear from Black, Indigenous, and Farmers of Color who’ve come up with creative and successful solutions to both make a livable wage while also ensuring they can support and feed their community. What have been their challenges, successes, and failures? This is an opportunity for the Farm community at large to listen to the needs of the BIPOC farmer community and leverage their resources to support these creative solutions.

*All are welcome to this session of Small Farms School.

Speakers: Michelle Week, Good Rain Farm; Malcom Hoover, Black Futures Farm; and Spring Alaska Olson, Sakari Botanicals
