How Much Inequality is Acceptable?

Some economists have recently suggested that Americans are now living with the largest income gap in the history of the world.  This conversation will explore our beliefs and values around income inequality. Is it an incentive for hard work and invention, an acceptable part of community life, or does this narrative no longer make sense? At what point, if ever, is the gap too large?  Julia Hammond, owner of Folklala and Oregon Humanities’ Conversation Project Leader, will lead a conversation around these questions.
