Hart Mountain Camp-out

$65 – $75Hart Mountain Camp-out, sponsored by Sierra Club’s High Desert Committee.
Hart Mountain is a beautiful example of how high desert lands can recover from grazing. We will set up a base camp at the hot springs campground and go out on day hikes to explore the refuge. Possible trips are to explore Petroglyph Lake and Poker Jim Ridge to catch a spectacular view of the Warner Valley, hike up and through Degarmo Canyon, hike up to Warner Peak, or explore Bernard’s Cabin. We will determine hikes based on interest and ability level. There will be ample opportunities to spot wildlife at dawn or dusk on your own by car or soak your sore muscles away in the hot spring pool under the stars in the evenings.
