The volcanic landscapes of Central Oregon have shaped the hydrology of this area in surprising ways, giving us one of the most unique groundwater systems in the western U.S. Join the Deschutes Land Trust, Daniele Mckay, and Derek Loeb to explore Central Oregon’s volcanic deposits and the cool, clear springs that emerge from them. Join us to find out how the volcanoes that give this area its beauty also provide a steady, clean supply of water. The answer may surprise you! Registration is required and opens 1 month prior to the event.
Rating: Challenging, ~6 mile hike.
What to Bring: Snacks/lunch, water, sturdy hiking shoes. Dress for the weather.
