Fire and Ice Hike

July 2, 8am-4pm
Join the Deschutes Land Trust and Daniele McKay for a hike through glacier-carved valleys and
volcanic craters at the Metolius Preserve. We’ll start at the Metolius Preserve and make our way via the Lake Creek Trail
to Suttle Lake and then on to Blue Lake. Stops along the way will explore how fiery volcanoes
and glacial ice have shaped the Cascades. Registration is required and opens 1 month prior to
the event.
Rating: Challenging, ~10 mile hike.
What to Bring: Snacks/lunch, water, sturdy hiking shoes. Dress for the weather.
