Native cultures have called the Klamath Basin home for millennium and have developed a long and intimate relationship with the native plants of the Basin for food, medicine, tools, and clothing. In this talk, Erin Rentz, Botanist with Six Rivers National Forest, will discuss a selection of culturally significant plants and the importance of management of these resources. Erin studied Botany and Ecology at San Francisco State University and has worked as a botanist for the Forest Service for the past 15 years in southern Oregon and northern California.
