Encouraging a Sense of Wonder, Indian Ford Meadow Preserve

Join the Deschutes Land Trust and Laurie Danahy at Indian Ford Meadow Preserve for a walk and talk workshop for adults who are parents, grandparents, caregivers, friends or relatives of very young children. Drawing from the work of Rachel Carson (A Sense of Wonder) and Richard Louv (Last Child in the Woods), Laurie will share strategies for introducing the natural world to infants, toddlers and preschoolers. Learn how each of us can help the next generation explore and appreciate nature. This workshop is for adults.

Hike Rating: This is an easy 1 mile walk along the Preserve trail and through a grassy meadow.
