Dr. Jerry & The Bugs

Check out the bugs that call the Deschutes River home. We know that fish eat insects and that those insects live in the water where the fish live. Our display will feature live insects (and crustaceans!) from local waters for you to look at under the microscope.

Dr. Jerry Freilich, a retired aquatic entomologist, will help you become better acquainted with the mayflies, stoneflies, caddisflies, and a bunch of other aquatic invertebrates that live in our nearby waters. Please join us for this fun and fascinating event!
