Brad Chalfant is the Deschutes Land Trust’s Executive Director, co-founder of the Central Oregon Trails Alliance , and the senior member of the Oregon State Parks commission.  As the Executive Director of Deschutes Land Trust he is responsible for the leadership and direction of the organization, as well as for communicating the Land Trust’s mission to the public.  Brad provides overall supervision of the fundraising activities, land and conservation easement acquisitions and land management activities.  Brad was one of the original founders of the Land Trust, the first President of the Board and became the Executive Director in 1997.  Prior to starting the Land Trust, Brad was the Property and Real Estate Manager for Deschutes County.  Brad earned a B.G.S. in Economics and Geography from the University of Kansas and his J.D. from Northwestern School of Law, Lewis & Clark College. Brad is an avid backpacker, skier and cyclist and enjoys being outside with his wife Brenda.
