Bend Energy Challenge Volunteer Training

September 3, 2019

$65 – $75

There are a million reasons to love the Bend Energy Challenge. Five million reasons, actually.

You may have seen our AmeriCorps NCCC team around the community lately, perhaps at Springfest, outside a local business, or even on your own doorstep. They have been busy spreading the word about the Bend Energy Challenge, Bend’s chance to win $5 million for local energy conservation projects. They’ve also been educating Bend, providing easy tips and resources for lowering their own energy bills. However, the AmeriCorps team leaves us May 22, and we will be in need of new volunteers to fill their shoes!

If you are passionate about energy conservation, the environment, want to help people save money, or just want to do your part to better Bend, we could use your help. We need volunteers approximately once a month to go door-to-door, table outside local businesses, and work booths at festivals to continue informing people about the Energy Challenge and energy conservation.

If you’re interested, there will be a 3-hour orientation for new volunteers on May 20th from 4PM-7PM at the Environmental Center.

RSVP to Danielle Vogel at 309-202-5982 or danivogel0804@yahoo.com

Snacks will be provided. We’ll see you there!
