Stream Sampling Day on Whychus Creek

Spend a day along Whychus Creek with Upper Deschutes Watershed Council collecting aquatic macroinvertebrate samples to improve knowledge about stream health. Learn about efforts to increase flows and restore habitat for salmon and steelhead and visit streamside meadows and rimrock canyons while contributing to our collective understanding of how habitat restoration is changing stream conditions for native fish. This event is a great opportunity for community members to get involved as stewards of a local watershed and learn first-hand about one of the streams in our backyard. Kids ten and up are welcome to join with adult supervision.
