Take Back The Butte

On June 19th African Americans will once again be celebrating the slaves being freed by Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation. Known as Juneteenth, it is a time to celebrate our freedom as Americans. In honor of this day, and in order to silent the ghosts of Bends past, we will have a march and a ceremony to “Take the Butte Back” and claim it in the name of peace and equality.
