Update: Electric Vehicle Group Buy Program

The Electric Vehicle Group Buy Program is off to a strong start! Since the launch of this program with Smolich Nissan on May 1st, 20 new electric vehicles have hit the road! We caught up with Joette and Gene, who were some of the first through the doors to purchase an EV.

How did you hear about the EV program? I saw something about the promotion in an Environmental Center newsletter. My husband also heard an interview on KPOV.

Had you been considering purchasing an EV before this? Yes, we had been talking about our next car being an electric vehicle, we thought this would be a good opportunity to check out a car.

What was your experience of purchasing your new car like? Jason from Nissan is an excellent salesperson. He is not high pressure, and because he drives a LEAF himself, he knows the product.

What’s your favorite thing about your new car? We both like the way the car drives and its smooth operation. We have solar panels on our roof and have been charging the car about every 3 nights in a regular wall outlet and still have not had an electric bill since the purchase!
