Take care and keep connected

Take care, keep connected, ask for help, and help others during this challenging time.

Here are a few resources we’ve been referencing lately, and they’re worth re-sharing. We hope you’re staying healthy, safe, and finding ways to stay connected to friends, family, and the community.

Pandemic Partners, a Facebook Group, has compiled Community Resource Sheets with updates and resources around social services, meal assistance, and more.

(UPDATE) They also recently announced a Pandemic Partners HelpLine: 541-668-6117. This new HelpLine will allow the community to tap into the same crowdsourcing kindness that’s happening on Facebook, to help take care of each other’s essential, basic needs during this time.

You can also check out Nextdoor.com for similar forum conversations happening in your own city or neighborhood.

The Bend Chamber of Commerce and a list of other partners has put together a central resource hub called Central Oregon SOS for employees and organizations needing assistance.

Here are a few ways to help out neighbors, friends, family members, healthcare providers, and local nonprofits & businesses during this challenging time:

DONATE to local nonprofits who were forced to cancel or postpone their fundraiser events or that need extra support to provide increased services right now.

SUPPORT local businesses by purchasing gift cards to be used at a later time, or by taking advantage of delivery/take-out options.

VOLUNTEER your time and services where you’re comfortable doing so. Several organizations are looking for help right now from people who are young and healthy.
