An easier way to stay informed.

The Environmental Center is expanding communication options for members by introducing text messaging! Not only can we use a text system to reduce paper, but we can also make it easier for you – our members and subscribers – to take local action and stay in the loop.

It’s challenging to keep up with everything (especially now during COVID), when most communications are delivered digitally via email and social media. Inbox overload, anyone? Our goal is to make sure you don’t miss out on updates and resources that matter to you.

We promise not to bombard you with messages. Our goal is to highlight important opportunities and to make sure you have every chance to make your voice heard. You have the option to select the type of message(s) you wish to receive:

ACTION ALERTS
Sign up today by texting the word Action to 541-234-8384.

When you opt in for action alerts, you are giving The Environmental Center permission to send text messages to you when community support or participation is needed.

For example, “Please consider applying for the City of Bend’s Environment & Climate Committee: https://bit.ly/2P6tOLg”.

MEMBER UPDATES
Sign up today by texting the word Member to 541-234-8384.

When you opt in for member updates, you are giving The Environmental Center permission to text you membership renewal reminders, thank you’s, and event invitations.

For example: “Thanks for your support this year! Are you ready to renew your annual membership of $35? https://bit.ly/30YIEZV.”

Once you opt in, you can unsubscribe at any time by replying to a message with the word STOP. This quick reply will remove you from all of our text messaging lists. We take our constituents’ privacy very seriously. We never share member or subscriber information with outside parties or organizations.
