Lunch Bite Highlight 1

One of our lunch bite highlights this week focuses on the process of recycling. Recycling is when we take our old things like paper bags or plastic bottles and turn them into something new! Reusing our old materials can help protect our environment. This Lunch Bite includes a video which focuses on what you can and cannot put in your curbside recycling bin. Teaching our kids how to recycle at a young age can promote environmentally friendly habits! There are many different ways to teach young kids about recycling. This website has 5 different recycling activities that can be done as a family.

Lunch Bite Highlight 2

Our second lunch bite highlight focuses on a read-aloud story about snowmen. The story is called Snowmen At Night, and is written by Caralyn Buehner. Her story follows the adventures that snowmen take during the night! As winter continues, snow has been drifting down from the sky providing the perfect opportunity for kids to play outside. Yet sometimes it can be hard to find things to do in the chilly weather. This website has many different activities that you can do with younger children that will keep them entertained.
