Introduction to Land Trust Preserves

Join the Deschutes Land Trust and Mary Crow for a new look at your Land Trust Preserves! We’ll take a shuttle bus and visit several Land Trust Preserves around Sisters. Start at the Metolius Preserve with an introduction to its pine forests and several forks of Lake Creek. Then, visit Indian Ford Meadow and Camp Polk Meadow Preserves and see how these meadows have, and continue to make, their mark on history. Finally, end with a short hike at Whychus Canyon Preserve with stunning scenic views of the Cascades and Whychus Creek. A great introduction to the Land Trust, our Preserves, and the work we do to conserve land in Central Oregon.

Rating: Moderate, ~3 mile hike.

What to bring: Lunch/snacks, water, sturdy hiking shoes. Dress for the weather.
