Sunriver Nature Center & Observatory – Summer Camp Specialist

Sunriver Nature Center & Observatory is seeking seasonal Summer Camp Specialists for our Summer Nature Camps and Summer Space Camps! Our summer camp program experiences are for elementary and middle school age children and include interactive activities such as planetarium programs, games, experiments, hikes, crafts, etc. with the natural world in mind. This position is a seasonal summer position averaging 30-35 hours/week at a rate of $19/hour and runs from June 10th until August 31st.

Commute Options – Program Assistant

This position would be supporting both the Safe Routes to School (SRTS), the Oregon Friendly Driver (OFD), and Get There Rewards (GTR) Programs. Community outreach and event attendance are important aspects of this role to promote the programs and engage with the community. The SRTS program creates fun, convenient, and safe opportunities for children to walk and roll to and from school. The OFD program facilitates classes that educate people who drive on what to expect from people walking and rolling to improve the safety on our roadway for all users. The GTR program manages rewards for employees at partner companies who use Transportation Options to and from work. The Program Assistant reports to the Education Program Manager and acts as an instructor for both SRTS and OFD. The Program Assistant reports to job sites including schools, various classroom venues, and special events to help deliver SRTS to students K-8 and OFD to teens and adults. Supplements GTR program support by assisting in compiling data and answering user inquiries. GTR program support is done online (not in person). Part-Time position, pay starting at $24/hour.

OLCV – Engagement Organizer (Bend)

The engagement organizer is responsible for recruiting, engaging, mobilizing, and tracking OLCV members and volunteers to build political power for the environment and climate action in Oregon. The work includes recruiting new and more diverse members, organizing local events, and volunteer recruitment and mobilization for OLCV campaigns and priorities. Most of the work will take place on the phone and in the field. The position will be based out of OLCV’s Bend office, with required travel to different regions of the state.

350 Deschutes – Director of Development

350 Deschutes seeks a person to grow the organizations development capacity in individual giving and grants. Managing an intern or additional staff may be necessary for parts of this work. Be a part of a supportive team working on one of the world’s most important missions: 350Deschutes works on climate policy, actions, and education while working to protect vulnerable communities.  He/she/they will be actively supported by the executive director and board of directors.

The Director of Development will set own flexible work schedule, primarily working from home, with some time in the field when needed to meet with stakeholders.. It is expected that most hours will be during 8 to 5. We prefer an individual that lives in Central Oregon.

30 hours weekly, as a contractor, or employee, with benefits.

Pay: $30-$35 hourly DOE. Position will remain open until suitable candidate is found.
