Herbs for Winter Health
September 3, 2019
$65 – $75It is commonly recognized that human life depends upon Nature’s plants by virtue of the fact that they give us the oxygen we breathe, and the food we eat. What modern people have largely forgotten, however, is that the wild plants-growing around us on all sides- harmonize so perfectly with our bodies that most of them, used wisely, can effectively counteract and heal countless imbalances and illnesses of body and soul, without harmful “side effects.”
In this class we will consider several of the important wild medicinal plants of the Oregon Cascades, and how they can help us overcome a variety of winter woes – colds, flu, respiratory disorders, sore throat, cold extremities, depression, environmental toxicity, digestive trouble, etc. We’ll see how they can be most easily and effectively taken, and combined into formulas for chronic disorders.
Keith will offer samples of the herbal extracts, elixirs, teas and salves of which we speak, for all to experience directly. A selection of his products will be available for sale after the presentation. The cost of the class is $10-$20 (sliding scale) per person. Childcare is provided for free.
