Whychus Canyon Preserve Restoration Hike

Join the Deschutes Land Trust and Jane Meissner for a spring hike at Whychus Canyon
Preserve. Explore ancient juniper groves and learn about native plants as you hike through the
grasslands and wind down wildflower-studded slopes to Whychus Creek. Explore boulder
outcroppings and take in panoramic views of mountain peaks and dramatic canyons while you

learn about recent efforts to restore the forests of the Preserve. Registration is required and
opens 1 month prior to the event.

Rating: Moderate, ~4 mile hike.
What to Bring: Snacks/lunch, water, sturdy hiking shoes. Dress for the weather.
