Update On New Water Education Program

P1050189

This spring, the Environmental Center partnered with the City of Bend to deliver a new water education program to all sixth grade science classes at Cascade Middle School.

The program, Our Water System: A Journey through Bend, includes four classroom lessons and a walking field trip to learn about City infrastructure to minimize the impact of stormwater on our watershed.

Students have learned about where our water comes from and how the community uses water, how water gets into and out of the school, all about sewers and water reclamation, and will end the series with a lesson on how and why to conserve water in Bend.
