Central Oregon LandWatch is excited to announce our next speaker, Jonathan Stewart, an avid long distance hiker who spent the past decade hiking over 10,000 miles the length of the Pacific Crest, Continental Divide, Great Divide, Hayduke, Long and Pacific Northwest trails.
Jon’s illustrated talk will expand on themes developed in his recent book entitled Walking Away from the Land. It focuses on the rapid cultural and climatic changes that are challenging the survival of our forests, grasslands, native wildlife, and our very civilization as seen from the crest of the American continent.
