Unite Oregon – Environmental Justice Organizer (Central Oregon)

Unite Oregon is seeking an experienced, culturally responsive Climate and Environmental Justice Organizer to help immigrants, refugees, and BIPOC build power statewide with a local focus on the Central Oregon area. The main focus of this position will be to grow climate justice awareness and expertise in our communities as well as organize with these communities; lead local community organizing, engagement, and leadership development efforts; build community capacity to engage with local government on issues that will impact the community for generations to come; and convene, train and empower diverse community members to voice their viewpoints, opinions and concerns in regards to decision making around various social justice issues.This position will report to the Climate Resilience & Environmental Justice Manager.

Duration: Full Time, Ongoing
Compensation: $42,500-50,000 per year depending on experience
