2014 Central Oregon Calendar to benefit The Environmental Center
Oregon-based landscape photographer Stuart L Gordon again this year will be donating half the
proceeds from sales of his Central Oregon Calendar to the Environmental Center of Central Oregon.
Calendars are now on sale in Bend at Newport Market and Jackson’s Corner for $25.
“I can’t think of a better use of these images than to help benefit an organization like the Environmental
Center, which reminds us that our natural resources are precious and not inexhaustible,” Gordon said.
Images in the 2014 calendar include new images from Jefferson Park and Sparks Lake, the West Cascade
Scenic Byway, the Oregon Badlands, as well as alpine lakes and mountains of the Cascades.
All the images contained in the calendar are available as fine art prints in various sizes at Gordon’s web gallery at www.chasingthelight.zenfolio.com. In addition, through the remainder of the year, Gordon will donate to The Environmental Center 10% of the sale of any prints of calendar images sold on his website.
Gordon’s work has been on exhibit at past First Friday Art Walks, at juried exhibitions at the Bend-Redmond Airport and at the Deschutes County Administration Building. His images are included in a collection of photographs in a book entitled Capture Central Oregon. He is a contributor to Getty Images, has been featured in UK-based Landscape Photography magazine, and his work won recognition earlier this year from master nature photographer Art Wolfe in a worldwide “Compelling Image Photo Contest” sponsored by PhotoShelter. His work was selected in 2013 to be part of a traveling slide exhibit of Oregon photography sponsored by Photolucida, a non-profit organization promoting the art of photography. He currently is represented by Agora Gallery in New York City. Gordon has raised funds for the Environmental Center the past three years through calendar sales.
