SUMMARY:Taller de Papel Marmoleado en Español
DESCRIPTION:Esta clase está dirigida a niños a partir de 5 años y a sus familias. Tenemos espacio para las 12 primeras personas que lleguen.\nSumérgete en el color y el movimiento en este taller donde exploraremos la técnica del marmoleado sobre papel. Los participantes crearán sus propios diseños abstractos jugando con tintas flotantes sobre agua\, generando patrones únicos e irrepetibles. Una experiencia creativa para descubrir la magia de los materiales y llevarte a casa papeles decorativos para usar en collages\, encuadernación o simplemente como piezas de arte. No se requiere experiencia previa. \nGonzalo Benavente y Christi Zorrilla Soto son artistas visuales y educadores peruanos\, graduados de la Escuela de Bellas Artes del Perú. Su trabajo explora temas como la memoria\, la migración\, la tecnología y los saberes ancestrales\, utilizando la escultura\, el papel\, el textil y procesos colaborativos. SUMMARY:Know Stories - Tribal/Shared History: Reflection & Storytelling
DESCRIPTION:Laurie Danzuka shares tribal history\, impacts on public education\, engaging with tribal students/families\, and indigenous ways of living. She will also share current issues facing tribes and their members. All these topics center around treaties\, ceded lands\, tribal lifeways\, cultural restoration\, and language revitalization. \nLaurie has been an education advocate for preschool to post-secondary education for the past 20+ years. She grew up\, went to school\, raised her family\, and presently lives on the Warm Springs Indian Reservation. She believes there can be a balance in tribal education and public education rather than choosing one over the other. Laurie is sharing her story through life experiences and from her personal lens and perspective. She shares to create understanding and to address common misconceptions.
