Community Solar is a new alternative that is just now going on-line in Oregon. New small, utility scale solar farms are being built in the Willamette valley that enable us to subscribe to the clean energy they generate. Subscribers get reduced rates and these projects are required to serve low income subscribers who can save as much as 20% on their electricity.
