Reduce: produce less waste.
Waste prevention is actually fairly simple. It’s about avoiding waste in the first place. It’s also about rethinking your choices as a consumer and making informed decisions when purchasing products or services. In it’s simplest form, waste prevention means “using less stuff”. And we can all do that.
How? First, rethink: Do you really need to own it? Don’t buy what you don’t actually need and you’ll reduce clutter, reduce waste, and lessen pollution. Second, when making any purchase, rethink: what are the upstream and downstream impacts?
