We have exciting news! Thanks to your generous contributions and support, we have raised $1900 so far in support of the Kansas Avenue Youth Learning Garden through our online giving campaign. PLUS, the Jack Johnson Ohana Charitable Foundation will match every dollar raised between August 20th and midnight on August 28th up to $2500!

Now, with your help we will be able to match every dollar you give, DOUBLING your contribution and getting us closer to our total goal of $5185.
Your support today means that we will be able to grow more food, add welcoming arbors and seating areas to the garden space, and plant more fruiting trees and shrubs for the youth who use the garden and the neighborhood community.

We are raising the funds with our first-ever online fundraising campaign at ioby.org. IOBY–which stands for “In Our Back Yard”–is like KickStarter but for small, grassroots, neighborhood projects making a difference in our own back yards. IOBY is a perfect fit for us and this project, and a secure, easy way for you to learn about and support the final build out of the garden.cucumbereyes

We also invite you to stop by the Kansas Avenue Learning Garden at 16 NW Kansas Avenue in downtown Bend from 5pm-6pm on Tuesday, August 26th for free drinks with a discussion and tour of the garden. Garden Coordinator Denise Rowcroft will share the vision of the garden build out with an interactive tour and maps. All are welcome! Please RSVP for the event by emailing Sara.
