DESCRIPTION:When:  Thursday Aug 11\, Tuesday Aug 16\, Tuesday Aug 23 and Tuesday Aug 30\, 5:15 to Dusk \nWhere:  Meet at the old Ray’s parking lot\, NE corner of Simpson Ave and Century Drive in Bend \nWorksite:  Varies \nThere’s only one thing better than mountain biking in Bend\, OR and that’s riding in Bend\, knowing that you helped build and maintain the trails you love. \nPlease bring a hydration pack with water and a snack. \nBe sure to bring appropriate layers to accommodate whatever the weather may be. \nQuestions?  contact@cotamtb.com \nAll COTA trail work events require the following safety measures: \nAll participants are required to have the following protective clothing and equipment: \n\nSturdy shoes or boots\nGloves\nEye protection with clear or light colored lens\nLong pants\n\nDue to COTA’s insurance requirements and the inherent dangers of trail work\, we must implement the following policy regarding children at work events: \n\nFor anyone 14 years of age or younger\, we require one parent\, guardian\, or responsible adult for supervision of every four kids attending any COTA trail work events.\nAll minors under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian available to sign our waiver.\n\nAnyone who arrives for a work event may be turned away if he/she cannot meet the above requirements.

DESCRIPTION:On Friday\, September 10th\, The Environmental Center is teaming up with OLCV and other local environmental groups to host a Youth Climate Town Hall featuring Senator Ron Wyden! \nThis event will be led by and for young people. The focus? Creating a brighter future. We want to give young people the chance to make their voices heard\, and to talk with Senator Wyden about real-life solutions to the climate crisis that are rooted in justice\, community\, and hope. Using the form on the RSVP page\, attendees will even have the chance to submit their own questions for Senator Wyden to answer during the town hall. \nRight now\, thanks to Senator Wyden’s leadership\, Congress is coming close to making its final decisions on a once-in-a-generation opportunity for investments in clean energy\, justice\, and jobs. Senator Wyden will talk about how things are going at the national level\, and how you can get involved. \nIf you’re a young person\, RSVP here to receive more info!
