DESCRIPTION:Pioneer Day at Reynolds Pond near the Badlands Wilderness.   \nJoin in this family-fun free event to celebrate the 50thAnniversary of the Wilderness Act\, Public Lands Day and Get Outdoors Day.  Primitive skills stations will offer activities such as leave no trace\, tracking\, Dutch oven cooking\, doll-making\, archery\, cord-making\, seed tape-making\, and cross-cut sawing.  Guides will take small groups on hikes in the Badlands Wilderness and speak on wilderness values and ethics.  Reynolds Pond is located about 15 miles east of Bend near Alfalfa.  Bring water and your lunch. \nFor more information about this event and for a link to directions\, go here.
