SUMMARY:Fill Your Pantry 2nd Annual Bulk Buying Pop-Up Market
DESCRIPTION:Fill Your Pantry is a community bulk buying event created so YOU can fill up your pantry\, freezer\, and root cellar full of great local products for the winter. Say bye bye to busy holiday lines and veggies that have traveled farther than you during holiday vacations\, and say hello to a cupboard full of local beans\, grains\, veggies\, ferments\, and more. \nThe Central Oregon Fill Your Pantry will allow you to stock up on potatoes\, onions\, leeks\, beets\, winter squash\, garlic\, honey\, flours\, apples\, pears\, dried beans\, nuts\, krauts\, cheeses\, beef\, lamb\, pork\, and more. \nThis is a bulk buying event\, so bring your muscles! SUMMARY:Intro to Trail Maintenance
DESCRIPTION:The Mid Oregon section of the PCT was hit hard by wildfires this year so we’re preparing for a busy trail maintenance season next year. \nTrails in the burned areas will need our help! Pacific Crest Trail Association and other trail maintenance groups will need new volunteers\, and we’ll also need experienced volunteers ready to step up and become leaders. \nThis 2-hour classroom session is geared towards people NEW to trail work. We’ll start out with a short presentation on the condition of trails (especially the PCT and connectors) in the Three Sisters and Mt Jefferson post-fire areas. We’ll then discuss basic types of trail work and the tools we use to do it. We’ll conclude by explaining how our volunteer trail maintenance program works and how you can get involved. \nIt will take place at the Deschutes National Forest Service office in the Ponderosa Conference Room. (Please do NOT enter via the main entrance.) \nWe hope you can join us! Please email with any questions: midoregon@pcta.org
