DESCRIPTION:Join LandWatch and the Coalition for the Deschutes for an informative and entertaining evening led by water policy expert Davíd Pilz. RSVP required. \nIn the first part of the event\, Davíd will engage attendees in a hands-on learning exercise about how water is managed in the West. \nThe second part of the program will feature a discussion and presentation of different ways to manage water\, drawing on examples from Australia and other countries. \nDavíd Pilz bio:\nDavíd has been immersed in water issues throughout his life and career. After graduating from the Colorado College and Lewis & Clark Law School\, Davíd worked for 10 years at the Oregon Water Trust\, the nation’s first water trust. DESCRIPTION:Fill Your Pantry is a community bulk buying event created so YOU can fill up your pantry\, freezer\, and root cellar full of great local products for the winter. Say bye-bye to busy holiday lines and produce that has traveled farther than you during holiday vacations\, and say hello to a cupboard full of local meat\, grains\, vegetables\, ferments\, and more. \nThe Central Oregon Fill Your Pantry will allow you to stock up on items like potatoes\, onions\, leeks\, beets\, winter squash\, garlic\, honey\, flours\, apples\, pears\, dried beans\, krauts\, baked goods\, and more. \nThis is a bulk buying event\, so bring your muscles! Farmers\, ranchers\, orchardists\, and producers will be selling large quantities of items. For example\, 20lb bags of onions\, 50lb bags of potatoes\, 25lb ground beef boxes\, etc. This is a great opportunity for vendors to move product before the harsh Central Oregon winter and a great opportunity for YOU to save money and eat well all winter long. \nProceeds from this event and its sponsors benefit Central Oregon Locavore Non Profit. Central Oregon Locavore promotes local food and farmers for the health of our community.
