DESCRIPTION:November is Native American Heritage Month and COCC would like to invite you to join for a series of in-person and virtual events\, coordinated by Michelle Cary.  These events are free\, but donations to the First Nations Student Union Scholarship are greatly appreciated! Events are wide-ranging and focus on areas such as generational trauma\, oral traditions\, and the beauty of Native American flute music.  Please mark your calendars and join COCC for the following events: \n\nHistory of the Seneca-Cayuga Nation of Oklahoma with William Tarrant\, Culture and Historic Preservation Director for our tribes.  William will share a brief history of how these bands of Seneca and Cayuga Indians came to be in the Oklahoma territory from the upper New York area.  I am proud to present this event about my tribe.  Please join us for this virtual event on Tuesday\, Nov. 16\, 12 – 1:00pm PST\, and 2:00 – 3:00pm CST.  https://cocc.zoom.us/j/93016294700
