SUMMARY:The Hope of Wild Places
DESCRIPTION:Join ONDA for the first event in the 2021 High Desert Speaker Series\, a virtual conversation with Warm Springs Paiute spiritual leader and oral historian Wilson Wewa and photographer and filmmaker Jason Houston. After a showing of their short film “The Owyhee Project” (working title)\, follow along for an illuminating dialogue between Wilson\, Jason and ONDA’s Campaign Manager Corie Harlan about Oregon’s uniquely remarkable Owyhee Canyonlands\, the role of storytelling in conservation\, and the hope offered by protected wild places. \nThis event will be hosted online\, beginning at 5:30 p.m. PST. Registration is free and required. All registrants will be entered to win a giveaway prize package!

DESCRIPTION:The show will go on! Mountainfilm on Tour returns with TWO great programs for you to enjoy all from the comfort of home. \nMountainfilm on Tour-Bend will be a two-weekend experience this year\, complete with inspiring films and an online raffle. Although we’re disappointed we can’t gather at the Tower\, we’re excited to offer this unique and flexible option. Each program will be available for a 3-day window\, and each features different films. This new format makes it possible for a larger audience to attend an event that usually sells out. Check out the films and more information about the virtual format here. \nAdditional perks include: \n\nAbility to pause and resume the show as needed (another beverage\, more popcorn…) Plus\, no lines for the bathroom during intermission.\nA RAFFLE! We’re putting together prize packages from the best shops across Central Oregon.
