DESCRIPTION:March 1st kicks off the Public Interest Environmental Law Conference\, a week long (virtual) conference on a variety of conservation and environmental justice issues locally and across the world! \nThe conference will be an event full of energy\, innovation\, and inspiration for all of us involved in the environmental movement. \nThe conference is free\, open to the public\, and a great chance to learn more about all kinds of issues important to Oregon Wild’s work and global environmentalism. This year\, all panels and keynotes are virtual and can be found on the PIELC Facebook page or by downloading the conference brochure.

DESCRIPTION:For the past nine years\, World MUSE has brought together local change-makers with internationally recognized artists\, authors\, athletes\, entrepreneurs\, activists\, and social change leaders. \nMUSE UnConference is working to breakdown hierarchical aspects of a conventional conference by creating opportunities for practice and conversation\, offering an equity-informed fee structure\, and working with Community Partners to provide content that is more representative of our whole community.  \nMUSE UnConference hopes to gather participants\, rather than attendees\, in a virtual space dedicated to breaking down barriers to healing\, justice\, and change. \nMUSE UnConference is a virtual time and space to listen and be heard\, learn and unlearn\, practice and take action.

DESCRIPTION:When:  Thursday Aug 11\, Tuesday Aug 16\, Tuesday Aug 23 and Tuesday Aug 30\, 5:15 to Dusk \nWhere:  Meet at the old Ray’s parking lot\, NE corner of Simpson Ave and Century Drive in Bend \nWorksite:  Varies \nThere’s only one thing better than mountain biking in Bend\, OR and that’s riding in Bend\, knowing that you helped build and maintain the trails you love. \nPlease bring a hydration pack with water and a snack. \nBe sure to bring appropriate layers to accommodate whatever the weather may be. \nQuestions?  contact@cotamtb.com \nAll COTA trail work events require the following safety measures: \nAll participants are required to have the following protective clothing and equipment: \n\nSturdy shoes or boots\nGloves\nEye protection with clear or light colored lens\nLong pants\n\nDue to COTA’s insurance requirements and the inherent dangers of trail work\, we must implement the following policy regarding children at work events: \n\nFor anyone 14 years of age or younger\, we require one parent\, guardian\, or responsible adult for supervision of every four kids attending any COTA trail work events.\nAll minors under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian available to sign our waiver.\n\nAnyone who arrives for a work event may be turned away if he/she cannot meet the above requirements.
