SUMMARY:Cancelled: Noche de Cuentos
DESCRIPTION:‘Noche de Cuentos’ was created to connect Latinos and Spanish-speakers to the traditions of oral storytelling prominent in Latin America. The program will consist of food\, a workshop to help participants build the skills to tell their own stories and explore the art of storytelling\, and will conclude with a presentation by a local Storyteller/Librarian from Redmond name Pia Alliende. The program is open to all ages\, although the workshop is geared toward school-age children\, teens\, and adults. Deschutes Public Library will provide child care and crafting happening during this section for the smallest kiddos. \nUna noche celebrando la tradición oral latinoamericana. Invitamos a toda la familia a participar. Noche de cuentos es una iniciativa formada para celebrar el poder que tiene la narración en unir a nuestras comunidades. Reúnase con nosotros para celebrar las ricas y abundantes tradiciones de narración de América Latina. Venga a escuchar cuentacuentos de nuestra comunidad en Central Oregón y aprendan como iniciar su propia relación con la narración. ¡Invitamos a toda la familia a participar!
