SUMMARY:KPOV Summer Youth Radio Camps
DESCRIPTION:Do you know an aspiring DJ between the ages of 10-14? Or someone who wants to have fun creating radio spots and a show? If so\, KPOV’s Summer Youth Radio Camps are just for them! \nThis camps will teach our community’s youth how to DJ\, interview friends\, talk on live air as well as tell a story with sound effects\, music\, and humor. What’s more\, KPOV will help this group produce a one-hour radio show that will be broadcast on 88.9! DESCRIPTION:Join the Deschutes Land Trust and Kelly Madden for a mellow\, 4-5 mile mountain bike ride in Skyline Forest. This ride is open to beginner-level riders who want to explore the crowd-free riding of Skyline Forest at a mellow pace\, while learning about the wildflowers that bloom every summer in Skyline Forest. From freshwater springs to historic lumber mills\, riders will experience firsthand why the Land Trust is working to protect Skyline Forest\, Bend’s backyard. \nRide Rating: This is a beginner\, 4-5 mile mountain bike ride on old logging roads and some trails. You should be comfortable riding singletrack\, but be ready for fun stops to smell the roses. Be ready to ride over loose gravel and small obstacles in the trail on a mix of logging roads and trails with some climbs and descents. \nFree.
