As a writer\, citizen conservationist\, and environmental planner he has been involved in the Wild and Scenic Rivers system almost since its founding. \n*Dr. Roderick Frazier Nash\, Professor Emeritus\, University of California Santa Barbara and author of Wilderness and the American Mind.
